"A Community that SWEATS Together, STAYS Together."

We want to provide a safe, encouraging, and positive environment for adults, kids, and athletes of all ages to learn, improve, and reach their health and fitness goals. Most importantly we want to be a place that people leave healthier and happier than when they walked in.

$1 Can Go a Long Ways...Let's Sponsor One of Our Own For a Great Cause!

Hey Guys,

I have run into a small predicament and am hoping that as a community we can fix it. Each month at BCF we try to do something to help support either the community or a great charity, however this month we got ourselves in a bit of pickle. One of our BCF members Soum Douangmala, who is also a volunteer firefighter and graphic designer has decided to take on the incredible challenge of the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb. It is an incredibly tough climb up 69 flights of stairs in full fire gear. The great thing about this event is that the proceeds go to helping stop blood cancers and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I felt this would be something great for us to support, so we agreed to help sponsor Soum, which is why we have one of Soum's helmets by the front door when you walk in with all his information.

The predicament came when we were asked on late notice to sponsor the Brave Run. We love supporting Banks in anyway possible and I know this is one of the elementary schools biggest fundraisers, so I agreed to sponsor this as well with out thinking about our prior commitment. Unfortunately these causes combined exceed our monthly budget, so I have decided to reach out to our BCF community. I am hoping that if possible members can bring in a small donation over the next two weeks. As a community even a dollar or two per member will quickly add up and we can easily raise the $100 sponsorship for Soum and his date with 69 flights of stairs:). I will place a little box next to his helmet for people to place their donations in and each evening we will collect the donations. At the end of the two weeks, I will report back to everyone with our totals and give it to Soum to put towards his cause.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and thank you for helping to support two great causes!

We are a young affiliate and for almost all of our athletes this will be their first time competing in the Open. We know everyone has busy schedules but if you can spare a half hour come cheer our athletes and your friends on as they pour their hearts out! You have all shed blood, sweat and tears next to them all year long. You know the sacrifice that goes into putting it all out there, so please help them reach their maximum potential. Who knows that frenzied atmosphere you help provide might be the difference between one or two reps, which could be the difference maker in a new PR or maybe even a trip to regionals!

2014 New Years Challenge Winners!

The results are in...tallied...and the winners are... Melissa and Heidi! We are so proud of all their accomplishments in only four weeks! To win this challenge you have to do so much more then just lose weight and these ladies hit a home run racking up close to 350 points. You have to eat healthy, train consistently, get adequate sleep, and keep those joints lubricated. Not an easy job for two mom's with big families! They worked their tails off and have now started 2014 off on a great note! We also want to give a a huge congratulations to all the participants of this years challenge. Our biggest weight loss was 20lbs in just four weeks and he wasn't even part of the top three teams. There was no miracle shake for these participants; all of their muscle gained, inches lost, and fat burned was done the correct way. Good old fashioned hard work and clean living. If you get a chance please congratulate Heidi and Melissa and awesome job to all of our 2014 New Year's Challenge Participants!

Melissa and Heidi = 339 points
Josh and Ben = 322 points
Emily and Liz = 304 points
